I have been teaching for a considerable number of years - a total of fifteen! I have taught across the primary age group from EYFS to Year 6. I have a variety of teaching experience, ranging from tough inner city schools in Tottenham, London to the leafy suburbs of Northamptonshire. I have taught in both special schools as well as mainstream. I have progressed in my career through varying degrees of responsibility. I have led in a variety of curriculum areas, as well as being ‘Lead Coach’ at a previous school. Currently, I teach in, as well as lead and manage a SEND Unit Provision for children with a primary diagnosis of autism. I am also whole school SENDCo/ Inclusion Lead. I lead on pupil premium across the school and I have applied successfully for all EHCPs and HNF. Thus, ensuring children across the whole school are making progress. I am experienced in analysing data, targeting areas of concern, evaluating interventions and focusing on impact. This is a strength of mine as I am passionate about all children achieving and being able to access the best resources they can!
I have developed a team in my own school who are confident in engaging and challenging children. My aim is to ensure teaching and learning is of the highest standard possible. I have worked with student teachers, NQTs, as well as experienced teachers, monitoring and supporting to ensure high expectations are maintained. I use coaching skills to develop teaching practice where necessary.
